Tournament Event Wrap Up

Bluffers Ladies Make Their Mark During WPF Ladies Weekend!

The World Poker Federation Ladies Weekend USA delivered some great poker at Bluffers, with record turnouts across all three tournaments and three ladies claiming championship titles.

The action kicked off with a familiar name in the poker world, Svetlana Gromenkova (Moksha1), taking down the WPF Opener for $545. Svetlana showed why she's been a respected competitor in the game for years, adding another victory to her poker resume.

Saturday's WPF Main Event belonged to Karen Loebsack McDonald (5xTheGlam), who continued her impressive run at the tables by capturing the biggest title of the weekend and a $1,581 payday. Karen has been putting together quite a stretch of poker lately, and this victory was another big one to add to the list.

Closing out the action was Colette Landreneau Roger (JTS55) who took down the Kings & Queens Closer for $488, putting an exclamation point on three days of competitive poker.

But the ladies weren't the only ones collecting hardware. William Watson (GatorFan) outlasted all the other men in the Kings & Queens tournament to become the last man standing and our one and only King! While Colette claimed the overall tournament title, William made sure the guys had someone wearing a crown when it was all over.

Play. Compete. Win.

The record fields were a great showing for women's poker and the growing Bluffers community. Congratulations to Svetlana, Karen, Colette, and William, and a big thank you to everyone who participated and helped make these events possible.
